Bio

Born 7 August 1981 in Fillmore, Illinois | daughter of Arno and Berta McDowell | Holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Recreation | Had a legendary high school career at Nokomis High School | Won Ms. Basketball honors for the state of Illinois in 1999 | Played for Southern Illinois-Carbondale (NCAA I) from 1999 until 2003 | Averaged 15.1 points in her last season with SIU | Was named both Scholar-Athlete all-Missouri Valley Conference and Honorable Mention all-MVC in 2002-03 | Signed with BV Lely Amsterdam in the Netherlands in the 2003-2004 season, where she played for coach Laki Lakner | Was elected as MVP of the league in 2004, averaging 25.4 ppg in her first season | Played for Oberhausen in Germany in the 2004-2005 season before returning to the United States to take up a coaching job with Ashland Universiy | Decided to make a comeback and returned to the Netherlands in 2008 to sign with ProBuild Lions | Retired after the 2014-2015 season, having her banner raised in the Indoor Centrum Landsmeer on September 12 2015 as one of the four most valuable players in the history of Lions Women’s Basketball | Signed as assistent-coach for the 2015-2016 season | Was signed as headcoach in January 2016 replacing Rob Brand and lead the Lions to an unexpected Championship | Is the first female headcoach ever to win a championship in the Netherlands | Lives in Landsmeer since 2014 |

2013-2014 season

Averaged 15.2 points, 5.7 rebounds, 4.8 assists and 2.6 steals per game | Raised her scoring level to 18.2 ppg during the finals of the play-offs, while the team’s average dropped from 76.9 ppg over the season to 68 ppg during the finals | Led the team in scoring, assists, steals and efficiency | Scored a season-high 26 points vs Lekdetec on December 7th 2013 | Participated in the All*Star Game and was elected in the All*League First team

2012-2013 season

Averaged 16.6 points, 5.1 rebounds, 4.4 assists and 3.8 steals per game, her best performance since re-entering the Eredivisie in 2008 | Led the team in assists, steals, efficiency and field-goal-percentage (47.2)| Scored a season-high 31 points vs De Wit Grasshoppers om February 9th 2013 | Played in the All Star game and was elected as MVP of the Eredivisie

2011-2012 season

Averaged 14.7 points, 5.1 rebounds, 3.7 assists and 2.3 steals. Raised her average scoring level to 18.1 points during the play-offs | Led the team in scoring, assists, steals minutes per game (33) and free-throw-percentage (84.7) | Scored a seaon-high 28 points in the Cup Finals vs Lekdetec on March 31st | Participated in the All*Star Game | Was elected as the MVP of the play-offs by the iBasketball-website

2010-2011 season

Averaged 15.6 points, 4.8 rebounds, 3.9 assists and 3.6 steals per game | Led the team in assists and FT% (87.3) | Had a season-high 28 points on 6 November vs Eurosped Twente and grabbed a season-high 10 rebounds on 11 December vs STOL Grasshoppers | Participated in the All*Star Game and was elected in the All*League First team

2009-2010 season

Averaged 13.3 points, 4.6 rebounds and 4.0 assists in 28 games | Shot a 46.8 FG percentage and 43.9 % from 3-point-range | Scored a season-high 25 points in the third and decisive game of the Playoff Finals vs HLB Accountants on May 24th 2010 | Dished a season-high 10 assists vs Eurosped Twente on November 28 2009 | Led the team in assists per game and 3P percentage  | Was selected in the All-League second team
